When I was a child, the times I enjoyed most were when both my grandmothers would tell me stories of their childhood, growing up in the early 1900s. I loved hearing their stories.  They both lived nearly 100 years!, so you can imagine the number of stories I heard through the decades. I became a personal historian as a tribute to my grandmothers, to thank them for the beautiful memories they left me with.
